here you go Aaron, my truck on 99% flat driveway with my 2.5''/.75'' RCX leveling kit. not quite level but pretty close, and i nicer stance than stock. Im planning on getting Bilsteins for the front and maxing them out to have the front sit 100% level, if not higher. Hope this helps.

I love the stance of your truck. What's the wheel and tire combo you have?

That looks great... Pretty much exactly the look I'm wanting. Big, bad, and aggressive.

Any issues going 34" with that setup?

you could run 35s with a level. 34s would be great.

I guess I should have asked 34s at 285 or 295 width... Or does the 35" rule still apply?

Stock rim is 9" if I'm remembering right.

Stock: (P yuck its a truck not a minivan!)
P275/60R20 = 32.99 x 10.98 7.5-9.5 RIM

Options in the Nitto Tire from their site: (Other brands seem to be the same size as well)

LT275/65R20 = 34.09 x 10.98 7.5-9.5 RIM (Same width as stock)
LT285/55R20 = 32.28 x 11.73 8.0-10.0 RIM
LT295/60R20 = 34.45 x 12.36 8.0-10.0 RIM

I guess my debate is do I want to go taller with the same width, wider and slightly shorter (although I doubt you could tell unless they were side by side), or taller and a lot wider. If those fit...

32.99

been 33s for a while.........

Indeed... Makes the wheels on my brother and dad's 2500's look small.

i have 17''s, my truck came stock with 17x7's so i def didnt have 33's stock. i upgraded rims and tires. if my truck came with stock 20''s i def would still have them. on a positive not for me though, my rims have a -4.5mm offset so my 33's stick out farrrrr :naughty:

check with Kevin (Musclemckeester - I'm surprised he hasn't jumped in yet). He ran 35s on a level on his 2010 4x4.

something seems weird with those numbers that you got from the tire info. A 295 tire is 11.6" wide...not 12.36". I'm just doing the math of it.....295mm = 11.614 in.

The stock 20s are 9" wide, that's absolutely correct. I wouldn't get a taller tire without getting wider. If you just plan to run with a level kit, I would get a tire in the 34" range if you plan to stay leveled. You can run 35s but it will get the stuffed look. I ran 295/65R20 Trail Grapplers with just a 2" level for about 3 months. Minor rubbing on the swab bar at full lock, but nothing that would have been a concern. The tires I have are 35.5x12.2x20. The 295/60R20, like you said, is 34.5", would have been the tire I would have ran if I was just going to stick with the level. The 296/60 has the same specs as the 295/65, only 1" shorter (height-wise).

Word.

Using a tire calculator it will come out to 11.6" wide, but I would go by the website's measurements. Often times a 37" tire is really only 36" so following the manufacturers website would be the best bet.

For comparison purposes, here's my sock tires vs. Nittos. There is about 1.5" difference and it's quite noticeable.

So I kind of wanted to see what the truck would look like after leveling it. I broke out the jack and snapped some pictures.

Stock:

~2" Level:

Thoughts? I think it looks pretty good.

Probably going the Bilstein route, seems to fit what I'm going for the best. Still have some thinking to do about the tires. But, the stock tires don't look tiny so I can keep them till I make the pick.

That looks good man. I've been thinking of just going with Bilsteins too. I'm just looking to fit some bigger wheels and tires also. Unfortunately I think my truck with the 17's would look silly with the front 2" higher until I get new wheels and tires.

Truck will look great leveled! I don't think the tires look too bad. You can can always get a little bigger tire when it's time for new ones.

The Bilsteins is a great route to go to make it level.
