2015 Ram Tailgate Letters on a 14

So, when I got my used ram, I knew there we two small defects on the tailgate. They are within 3 inches of each others and look like marks from backing into something. Now they are driving me crazy.
Been weighing options on how to fix or cover up (paint less send repair, vinyl graphics, etc.) and I think I want to go with removing the stock Ram logo and replacing it with the 2015 RAM letters. Since the tailgate is already boogered, I am okay with drilling the post holes. Any other obstacles to pulling this off that I have not thought about?
Anyone debadged their tailgate and looking to offload the letters?
I have a black Ram with minimal Chrome, so I am not sure if I want to go Black or Chrome letters. Any thoughts?

The Ram logo you have now has a slight recess into the tailgate, and the letter A of the new logo won't cover it. The letter logo started with the 16 model year.
Look for a 2016 RAM tailgate at a salvage yard, you might be able to do a swap with minimal money exchange. You just have to pull the handle/camera assembly from your truck.

Crash, I was afraid of that. I hadn't noticed the indentation, but will take a closer look and snap some picks. Running Boards are going on today!

Here's the pic of the two spots on the Tailgate. They appear between the Ram's head and the 4x4 badging.
Next thought is to either look for a donor tailgate or move forward with some vinyl graphics package. I'm leaning toward the second option. it needs something to set it apart.

Place an ad on craigslist there are alot of people that want to ditch the ***** stamp logo we call it where im from and just want a regular tailgate instead of a mobile rolling billboard, you may be to just do a straight trade.

Have you looked at having them massaged out by PDR? Vinyl won't fix the dents obviously.

PDR is the other option, but that would only take care of one spot. The other is more of a poorly repaired paint chip. That's why my original thought of the Ram Letters seemed intriguing. Still wondering if I got a flush blank to fill in the indentation if they would work.

Does anyone know where to get a flush blank/delete panel for the tailgate badge?

Guess I have to wait for 13 more posts before I can post in the wtb section. In the mean time if anyone knows where to find flush delete/ filler badges let me know. Still might give the RAM letters a go.

Yeah I had seen where to get the letters, but what I hadn't seen is where to get a flush tailgate badge blank. I know they are out there because I have seen some custom painted ones, I just need an unfinished one.
