im so stuck between these 2 tires.

i drive 90% highway, but during hunting season i put a lot of miles on ****** backroads and blew a stock SR-A last year and dont want to do it again.

Also winters are nasty here, but both tires are snowflake rated.

I dont want to have to put flares on to protect my paint, so im leery of the 295 width, but judging by the stock 275, it shouldnt poke out much, if at all.

ill be getting some other rims at a later time, but in the stock size and offset so thats a moot point.

so what do you guys think?

I went with the AT2 Extreme's because of mostly highway driving... they get my vote

I am having the exact same debate but Im considering between Toyo MT and the BFG KO2. Also I do all highway except for hunting seasons as well. Im leaning towards the KO2's.

I have a leveled 2500. The ATKO's sounded like a perfect fit between the 35 x 12.5 that are on it now and stock. Until I saw the price! WOW!
What are they going to cost you?

I'm in Canada and the 285/65/20 BFG KO2 are going to cost roughly $1700 (cad$).

Ahhhhhhh, had this very same debate myself a few months back! I didn't vote.........yet. I went with the KO2's in a 285/65/20 because the Toyo's I wanted (exact same size in the poll) were on national backorder. I love the BFG's so far but they were not cheap! And I really wanted the Toyo because of the size, wish the KO2's came in a 295/65/20.

EDIT: I voted Toyo, it's the tire I really wanted, just couldn't wait 3 months for them. Make no mistake, I am very happy wih my BFG's, just wish they were a bit bigger. BFG has a better looking sidewall, Toyo a better looking tread :favorites13:

I voted Toyo! Never been a big fan of BFGs, had too many issues with them on past trucks, but they do look good!

I had only one issue with them. They pick up every freaking rock and chunk it on my paint. I have run everything from the 315/70/17 to a 265/70/17 and they all chunked rocks!

Honestly, They are the 2nd longest lasting tire I have ever owned. The first is Micheling ATX2. I wish I would have kept my 2011 a little longer. The Cooper's were holding up great!

285/65r20 ko2

Just put a set of new 285/65R20 BFG KO2 ATs on my 2014 Ram 1500 4x4 Larimie Longhorn. Glad I did not go with the 295s they would have rubbed the control arms. The 285s fit perfect and there is still clearance even at full steering lock.

OP, As a note, had my front flare off as it needed a "tune up" and the 285's stick out just abit without them, I imagine the 295's would stick out enough to be a concern...........for me anyway, heck the 285's looked like they'd throw enough stuff on the truck.

Thanks 6.7CD I over paid for the 4" Mopar Lift but my dealer would not install Bilsteins for some reason, they put Rancho RS7000s all around.
