I've been tirelessly researching what size tire to go with on my 2016 1500 Big Horn. 3" lift, stock 20x8 rims. I was really wanting to go with the 295/65r20 (35.1" x 11.6") but was told tires will cup as they're too wide for the rim. Wife won't let me buy new wheels, so I'm stuck with fitting tires onto these current rims. Has anyone run a slightly wider tire (11-11.6") on an 8" wide rim??? I don't want to ruin brand new expensive tires. ;)

Thank you in advance!!

You are completely fine to run any of those. I have run 12.5” wide tires on 7” wide (jeep) and 8” wide (power wagon) wheels for years. Never once had any issue with tire wear.

Hello! My first interaction here, I have the same wheel and went for the 295/65R20 gladiator x comp, so far they feel great, lil noisy but normal nothing unbearable, I already took em to the desert, here's a few shots.

Width of your new tire is only 11.6", so 1.8" wider on each side than the rim. That is well within tolerances.

I recently put on nitto grapplers 295 65 20 on stick 20” rims… it rubs on the sway bar and the frame… will 2.5 level( putting it in soon) and or spacers 2” solve the issue?

A level wont help at all, but the wheel spacers will cure the rubbing. However, rubbing there really dosnt cause any issues.

I have the same size tires but they rub on the sway bar.. did you put a spacer? Any rub on the pinch weld on the front wheel well?!

Which brand, tire is this?
Looking to put the same on my 2024 2500 4x4 but want a good AT tire that is a bit better on the road than in the mud?
Falken wildpeak at3w. Great all around tire. Wear very well, not noisy, great traction in the winter.
