Hi,
So on my 2014 Ram, i have the Chrome Sport Mirrors w/ Signals.

I have the chrome plastidipped right now, but I want it to be the same color as the truck now.
I already found the color match paint from Mopar and I assume any clear coat spray is pretty much the same thing.
I was going to get whatever Autozone had on hand by duplicolor.

My concern is how do I prep the chrome caps and what primer do I use.

I see self-etching primer, filler primer, sanding primer and regular auto primer.

I also saw that duplicolor sells Adhesion Promoter thats a clear primer I guess, but should that go on and then filler primer gon on after that?

Any advice to get this project going would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would scuff the covers with a scotch bright pad, then paint with etching primer and then get color matched paint from either automotive touch up or get it mixed at a local PPG/Napa store then clear with 2K clear, its a 2 part clear that is toxic so use a respirator but is the same that comes factory on the truck.
