My 2018 Laramie was hit my a tonno cover at 70mph and the front got scraped up pretty good. Took the money from the guys insurance and color matched the rest of the truck as well. I got color matched front and rear bumpers off eBay, I ordered a pint of my color and qt of 2k clear and got a new upper bumper cover as well as a new grille. I painted those myself in my garage as well as color matched all my parking sensors. I then cut off the welded JBA exhaust tips (straight cut and stuck out too far) and put on some slanted and shorter 4.5” tips. I also removed a few led reverse pods and cleaned all that up with a new diode dynamics hitch LED pod and kept my VLEDS license plate reverse light. I then debadged the tailgate and added a color matched emblem I did.

On the front it’s a lot more… new color matched lower bumper, I painted a new upper as well as the grille and parking sensors. I installed new morimoto HXB fogs and kept the rigids in the tow hooks as well as the 22” bar behind the grille. I also
Wired in 4 LEDs into the grille and have a led fade in/out driver on the way to put in.

Overall I think it looks much nicer and it’s great to get rid of the chrome. The bumpers
We’re nice but I think the front is light or I painted my parts darker which could be the case as I did 2 good coats of base and 2-3 coats of clear.

One of the reasons I bought the "Sport". OEM color match
Yea, I had a 14 express with the sport and debadge factory. I don’t like the sport bumpers as much as the metal. Otherwise I would have converted to the sport when doing the bumper swap.

Looks great. Been wanting to do that for years. Gives the truck a totally different look.

You might want to have the front bumper wrapped with clear paint protection film or it will probably end up with tons of rock chips.

any chance you still have a link to the seller? Were these primed, or already painted?
Seller is MBIauto on eBay. They were ready to install so primed/base and cleared.

Yea, I tried to talk to someone about that the the cost is $$. Precut PPF kits are $$ too. Its been 6 months so far nothing really noticeable.

I am an old guy, I love chrome. On top of that, colour matched bumpers last about 2 years up here before they are rock chipped all to hell and starting to rust. Hopefully it holds up good in your area.
