Air ride ?

Friday i went to pick my up at her work and i went in to tell i was there and was waling back out to my truck and about the time she got in we both heard what sounded like i tire blowing so got out and looked and all was good . It didn't hit me till about ten minutes later that it may have been the air ride letting off some pressure so i have looked around a little and only fond a couple of topics on this and they say that they dont let out air . Has anyone one else had this happen to them ?

Was it like a steady air leaking kind of sound, or just a quick "psh"? When mine is doing the self level and dropping the rear end a bit, you can kind of hear the air pressure moving from the bags back to the tank which sounds kind of like a leak I guess. Whenever the compressor shuts off, it makes a sharp "PSH" sound too. If you had a big leak that was bleeding air to the atmosphere, you would likely get an EVIC message that says "Service Air Ride".

The truck will make noises from time to time. When you unlock the doors it starts firing up computers, one is the suspension. So what likely happened is you got out of the truck and the truck didnt adjust to be "level" at that time. When you restarted it or unlocked the truck it decided now is a good time.

If it was a quick sound youre are fine. Its a closed loop system (it doesnt use outside air it is self contained) so you shouldnt hear it for very long or like stated above it will throw a service light.

It sounded like a big truck when they set or let off of the air break , it was loud and lasted for about a second
No light came on and didnt notice anything thing else .
