There just basically listing all they carry that way it pops up on everybody's search when you off ebay it says buyers comment or something like that and just tell them the color and bulb size but jj could probably hook you up with much better quality and ram specific items instead of piecing together

I would buy from retrosolutions. Or you can buy through retro shop. With our trucks you cant just buy the bulbs and ballast. You need the relay harness and resistors. Otherwise the HIDs will not work. If you order from retrosolutions the dodge ram kit comes with everything you need to wire it all up.

If im not mistaken you cant run the HID high beams yet. I could be wrong. I tried multiple kits and setups and have yet to see a truck work with the HID highs.

Easier to upgrade the fogs to HID.

Please, for the love of God, buy projectors and don't cheap out by using the stock reflector housings.
Thank you, all the oncoming traffic.

Remember that you will have to modify the bulb housing in those aftermarket headlights if you plan on installing HID's - most aftermarket headlights that take H1 bulbs have a housing that is too small for an HID bulb. You will need to enlarge the bulb housing with a file or electric dremel.

I'm sure that a retrofit would look better, as others have already suggested, but it's going to be very expensive. Since you already have headlights and you just want to convert to HID I would just stick with the existing headlights you have now, buy an H1 HID kit and enlarge the bulb housing so the HID bulb will fit.

Yes your cutoff will probably not be as good as that of a retrofit HID conversion, but it will still be WAY BETTER than any Ram with stock halogen and stock HID bulbs :head3:

Also, I'm pretty sure you need CAPACITORS with your HID kit....not resistors.

I fully agree with you. I will say that I put in 35w in my dual beam headlights to test them out. I had my wife in the truck and I used my mini to drive at the truck several times on a 2-lane road near our house. The stock reflector is so bad there was no glare at all. I didn't even have to squint.

Now the fogs are brought but they were low enough that, again, they didn't bother me. I plan to get retro's from Jeremy but I think the 35w is at least safe in the dual headlights.

Tried to take a picture but cameras seems to have a hard tim capturing that. It's amazing how bad that reflector is.
