Purchased new 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie and noticed fender flare coming off after a couple of days. Took it in to dealer for repair but they said they have to paint a new piece and reattach. Anyone else have that issue?

Yes, I had the same thing happen to my 2015. They fixed it and I haven't had a problem since.

tdramman;

Thank you for your reply. Do you know if they had to paint the new fender flare?

They said they had to. I don't know for sure if they did or not. Everything looks good though

Yes, on my 2016, and I have been meaning to ask about it here. It's happening in 2 sections of the right rear, where the gap opens up about 1/4 inch.

I figure if I go to the dealer they will just put some trim adhesive in there and clamp it.

Now that I have my rusting bumper, maybe I'll make an appointment for both issues.

I checked the right rear and it looks like that's coming apart also. I'll have to get that added to the repair order.

Mine were separating. Dealer put new adhesive on. No painting required.

Just like Jeff CA, the dealer redid mine with new adhesive. But they claim it's a pretty intensive job. They told me it's a pretty common issue too.
