I'm currently running LT285/70R17 Toyo ATIIs on my leveled (Bils @ 2.1) '14 1500 4x4 and I want to go up in tire size, but not as big as an LT315/70R17. What would be a good "in-between" size?

Damn that looks good AFMoulton. Do the springs in the back provide any lift?

Empty about 1.5", and they help a lot when I have a load on it. Not exactly a side shot, but with my trailer hooked up. I need to readjust the hitch but this was just to get her home.

What gears do you have? I have the 3.21 and running the stock 17" rims and towing quite often. I hate the look of 265/70 but the size does help my gearing slightly. Would like 285/70 but don't wanna hurt the towing side.

Notice enough of difference for the cost? Rough number on cost?

Well my cost is skewed as I scored a sick deal, and did all the labor myself, but it's a HUGE difference.

I found a wrecked truck that had been T-boned with 3.92's, I pulled the front diff out of it on a $100 day at the pick and pull and the front diff only cost me $150 out the door.

Then the rear gears were new and that was $300 for the gears and another $250 for the locker.

So for me the cost was worth it, major pain in the ass labor wise, but I think it's worth it.

Interesting to hear from someone first hand! So far I've been happy with the 3.21 and pulling my TT which is 6300 dry. But I haven't done mountains with it yet. Might have to keep an eye on local junk yards. The rear end doesn't scare me as much as the front! Thanks for the info.
