How much is my hood worth

I want to upgrade to a sport hood, and my 2015 ram has a regular hood. How much can I get for it, it's 10/10 in condition. I want to trade it in at the dealer, don't know if they do that or not.

I don't think dealers do that. You can't trade in a part and get money for it. They might keep it if you don't want it and it's free but that's all.

And you won't really get much and it's something that won't sell right away unless your lucky and someone's on the market for one.
In my area on Craigslist they range from around 200 to 500 but I don't suggest putting a high price as it won't sell.
If I could take a couple hundred dollars I would be good.

I like raptors, anywho I was quoted $1,300 for the hood itself, and $2,000 painted.

Around 300 on Craigslist is the going price here. I wouldn't expect much more than that.

My son swapped hoods two years ago for the same reason....after two years of having the dumb thing for sale, he gave it to a body shop to get it out of the garage.

It's pretty hard to find someone that needs a hood, and then the color has to be the same because a nice paint job costs more that the hood is worth.

It's like buying new wheels and tires and trying to get rid of the old ones...too dammm much trouble.
