I am interested in changing the bulbs in my fog lights over to LED's for better light output. Not wanting to put LED pods, just the bulbs. I'm looking for a slightly blue light output out of them if possible. Will I get any lights on my dash saying bulb out or anything? Any recommendations? 2014 Ram 1500 Express. Thanks

I bought these off of Amazon.com for $40 shipped. Afterwards I found the SAME exact bulbs (just rebranded) on xenonhids.com for $120 lol... same exact bulb. Also these are the same exact led's as the Opt-7 Fluxbeam (not the fluxbeam-x). MostPlus even says on their Amazon in the questions section that they are the same led and made by the same factory/manufacturer as Opt7. Yet the Opt7 cost $90, XenonHids.com cost $120 and these MostPlus cost $40!

Anyways I bought these off Amazon and the color and light output is amazing.

Company's will just slap their sticker on something and charge 3x as much as the no name company... its unreal. This is why I ALWAYS shop around. No need to pay 3x the price just to say "i bought them from xenonhids.com" ... f*#( that I'll buy the $40 pair and laugh at the guy who spent $120.

Thanks for all that info! I have the projector style headlights do you know if those would work for me?
These are for fog lights and will not work in any variation of the headlights afaik.

I'm willing to get both for the fog lights and also the projectors its just that I was told by someone that LED's won't fit in the projector because of the fan and can't put the back cover on. If it's possible I'd get LED in both preferably just don't know the bulb sizes for each

I'm not a big fan of those heatshrinks or big cooling fans on the back of the bulbs.

Something just tells me that will cause errors in the future with rain, dirt, and other crap that can get up by the fog lights.

Has anybody used anything like this with good results and canbus friendly? ee9e2d315771230178d159cd146fd068.jpg

I know the MostPlus 9005's I linked above will 100% work and fit in the fog lights of a 4th gen Ram but I'm not sure about the headlights.

However I do know for a fact that the Opt-7 FluxBeam-X LED's WILL fit into the projector low beam spot. A few members on here have fit them inside aswell as a ton of members over on the Ram Rebel forums.

Here is a link to the Opt7 FluxBeam-X LED's:http://www.opt-7.com/fluxbeam-x-led-headlights/

They will definetly fit the oem projectors and they come with the ecm capacitors to prevent flickering and bulb out warnings. So they include everything you need to get then working.

It will be a tight fit to get them in there with the dust cap back on but they WILL fit. Don't worry about the fans being in there, they get plenty of air and the led's run super cool anyways. I know a few people who have the led's with fans in their fog lights for over a year now and through all the rain salt and snow they have had no issues with the fans breaking or stopping.

So the MostPlus 9005 are the best bang for your buck for your fog lights and the Opt7 FluxBeam-X 9006 (will fit the same as a 9012 bulb) are your best bet for your low beam in the oem projectors.

I know LED's are cool to the touch all the time, so why do they have a fan installed on them for headlights and fog lights?

Heat sux in the summer but well required in the winters for the states and proviences that have snow..
Fans are used for the (dont know the correct way to say it but)motherboard or circuit board i assume..

Small LEDs can be cool to the touch. High wattage/larger LEDs, such as the ones needed for headlights/foglights, and all the circuitry required to make them work, generate a decent amount of heat. Hence the large heatspreaders or fans.

I too am curious about the leds in the projectors. I had the original flux beams in my quad headlights( blinded on coming traffic like crazy). Since then I switched to factory projectors and need a better/ cleaner light output.
