People seem to like the opt7.

I've tried a few brands, including morimoto 2 strokes and not impressed at all.

I have a retroshop HID kit in my factory projectors. Much much better than the stock bulbs.

With HIDs can I get everything to fit inside the housing without drilling through the dust cap?

Yep.....:beatdeadhorse5:

Go hid and never look back.
Most of the stores around me won't install HID anymore, so I am still interested in these threads. I haven't purchased mine yet.

Why pay a shop to install? Your signature says a 14 if that's true they are literally plug and play for your truck

I am currently trying to decide if I want LED or HID. Both have their pros and cons.

Has anyone here tried both? What do you like best?

The fog light LEDs are plug and play when you get the CANBUS versions. Headlights will still require adapters. I was referring to the Drop In HID Kit from retroshop. For the 09-14 models they are plug and play with the supplied CANBUS adapters from the kit. Hope this helps

Oh and yes I did have to re aim the lights but that's is super easy and took 5 minutes. 7mm hex head through the fender.

The LED system is much smaller than HID. You can fit both the LED high and low inside the projector housing.

I went with LED fogs and highs, with HID low beams. I had a ton of issues with the HIDS. I was sent another resistor box to plug in, and I think that has fixed it..knock on wood.
