I have a 2014 and it seems as time passes, the paint is fading. Right now, it's only along the hood edges. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

That looks like water spots to me. You try claybar, wax, polish?

Maybe take it to a pro detailer.

Yeah, those are water spots. I'm referring to the yellowish color along the edge of the hood.

Umm, strange. Shouldn't be rubbing on anything.

Is it like that all around the hood?

Did you buy the truck new? That does not appear like anything I've seen before from factory.

As mentioned did you buy new or used? If used perhaps previous owner 3m wrapped the hood to protect the paint-the wrap could be yellowing

I had that exact same thing on my black 2014 Sport. For me, it was not fading, rubbing or anything that. When I looked close I immediately recognized it....it was where my black paint was very light/missed from the factory. The bottom of 3 of 4 doors had to get repainted under warranty because it was just clear coated primer and where the black met the clear coated primer, it looks just like your edge of the hood. And, like I said, my hood looked the same as yours.

No rubbing and it's like that on both sides.

I'm thinking that this is exactly what I'm dealing with. Thanks for the input.

As long as you are under 70k and 5 years I would think the Chrysler corrosion warranty should cover this. At least I would hope they would

UPDATE: After visiting the dealer and their submitted case denied by Chrysler, I called to open my own case. After a few back and forth's, my truck is at the dealer getting fixed.

When the dealer got a closer look, they said it looked as though the hood had been repainted. There was some "orange peel" along the edges of the contours of the hood line. I'm just glad Chrysler decided to take care of it.

I'll post after pictures once I get my truck back.
