Opinion needed for new grille

Hi all,

This is my first thread and post on RF. I have a brand new Smittybilt M1 grille that I want to put on my truck but I would like the paint match the lugs to my truck color. I normally would just leave it be but I am not a fan of chrome and these lugs are chrome plated. Has anyone modified lugs like this before or have a suitable idea for replacement lugs by chance? I would like to do it and for it to last and I feel that just painting the lugs would be a bad judgement call that would leave me with a sub-par finish. Thanks in advance for your time

My biggest issue with these aftermarket grilles is that a dozen companies basically make the same one... They're EXTREMELY expensive for what they are. And you have to cut your OE grille shell to **** to install it... Which I'm not a fan of at all!!

Debating on doing one at some point but .. I want another shell which runs $3-500 depending on if I have to paint it or not.. Then these mesh ones are $4-800 depending where you go.

There's a guy on Ebay who powdercoats bolts for fender flares. I bought some from Him and they are excellent. He also does different sizes. Maybe replacing them would be an option?

Thanks to all that responded, sorry if I mysteriously vanished after a single post. Had some personal stuff to tend to.

That being said, back to work on my beast.... Does anyone know who the guy on eBay is it have a link to one of his items so that I can look him up by chance?

Can you post more pics of the grille. Looking at buying the same one. Can you see through the grille at all?
