Instead of messing with the Home Depot weather strip, I decided to replace my 3rd brake light with a new Mopar light! It comes complete with bulbs and gasket! The new gasket seems like it is thicker and more rubber like than the original. I paid under $17 for the complete unit and swapped it out in under 5 minutes!

I don't have ant water damage from the leak but I started blowing brake light bulbs every time I went through the no touch car wash! I don't think it was leaking bad yet but I was probably weeks away from some bad juju!

Part number is: 55372082AF (prices may vary)

I pulled mine off today from my 2016 Ram that I got about 1 1/2 months ago. Mine looks to have a thicker gasket on there and seems to seal pretty well. I will keep an eye on mine.

Some simple RTV gasket maker would fix that in less than a minute
