Srt-10 wing on ram rt

So I am going to put an srt10 style wing on my rt, should I mount it on top of the plastic bed railing or take the plastic bed rail caps off?

I was thinking it could be ok to leave them on

Keep in mind when you take those rail caps off, the paint will be scratched up underneath, at least mine was. Food for thought. I like the SRT-10 spoiler FWIW.
