yeah, the metallic blacks are very nice. the glossy blacks are nice too, but the metallic stands out more and it doesn't look like you have a set of smoked covers on your tails.

Agreed but they are even better on a truck with metallic paint the tails blend into the truck ive got several compliments and of course i did not take credit

Pricing would be a tad higher than black, blue is a friggin' $$$ color! If you are serious, I can ask the painter this weekend about a cost, but I'd guess it would be $160 vs the $135 for the paint difference.

Do the stock lights shine through the mediums well? or is it a requirement to get LEDs with the smoked tails?

I have led's in mine not sure about stock bulbs but the led's shine through great.
