Steering Wheel Swap?

I was curious if anyone has tried swapping out their steering wheel with an upgraded one? I have an 2011 SLT with the non-leather wheel and without audio controls, and I'm looking into swapping it to a leather wheel with audio controls. Just curious what it entails as far as taking the old wheel off and putting the new one on. Thanks for your help.

I would think the wiring for the controls is there so it would be a matter of getting the air bag off removing the steering wheel and putting the new one on

mechanically i would think it would be a direct swap. Electrically...who knows

Never heard of anyone doing this, but I can understand the want and application. I absolutely love my steering wheel controls, use them all the time. I would ask the dealer what's involved, as you would prolly want them to mess with the airbag, it's a pretty expensive "oops."

Will definelty require dealer flash , some have added them to the lx cars and they had to swap dash clusters to get them to work.
