transfer case noise

I have a 2015 2500 tradesman. it has the transfer case selector on the floor. when driving it makes an annoying squeak sound, if I hold my hand on it it will stop. anyone have this problem and is there a simple fix??

I'd pull the cover and give the area a good shot of white lithium grease.

I have the same setup going on a year. No problems and you are the first I have heard with such a complaint.

if I push on the shifter, just a slight pressure no force, it stops. if the windows are down or the radio is up louder it isn't noticeable. but if not it gets old fast

Have the same truck and noise. Did you ever resolve this? Debating on whether or not to take to dealer.
