Just started this morning. 2013 Sport w/72k on odometer. It'll go away after it warms up and drive off for a minute or less. What y'all think??

Most likely a broken exhaust manifold bolt or possibly even a couple

That's what I'm thinking. The tick would remain while driving if not mistaken.

If the sound is going away after about 30 seconds or a minute it's most likely a manifold bolt. The manifold will heat up and expand enough that it will actually seal the gap

If you got to change the bolts - pony up for some headers... do it once and be done-

Should be covered under the 5yr/100k powertrain warranty. I haven't contacted the dealership yet.

I have read that machining the headers back to spec will prevent them from warping again.

5 year 100K power train warranty. Yes, exhaust manifold or its bolts is part of the powertrain because it bolts to engine and effects combustion process. The rest of the exhaust is not covered. :happy107:

Absolutely an exhaust leak probably due to a broken stud

Another question...
Will my S&B and Magnaflow weld on muffler void this warranty repair??

From and engineering point of view, there is no way either would warp the manifold which makes the bolts break so in a word .. no.

The sad part is, my truck just started doing this yesterday... but the day before I changed the oil and the only filter they had that would fit was a regular Fram... which I typically hate. But I have also heard that the filters if they aren't high flow can get sucked dry from MDS and during initial startup tick when filling up?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Just odd timing that the day after the change it starts making a weird tick noise.

Either way I can replace the filter with the mopars I used before or take the truck in. Its a 2012 so its about to lose the 5 year warranty.
