392, or 354, 572 or 392. There's always been the debate. There's always been the saying. There's no replacement for displacement.
What would you do, if you had the budget? Replace the stock 345 with a 392? Add a power adder to the topside? Go all out with the new 572?

You doing a motor swap next? I like the no replacement for displacement camp. I'd go 572 with alittle extra work done.

Just saying '572' gives me a semi.
Built well with a nice lumpy street cam and well thought out exhaust, they are not only fast and torquey but a pleasure to the ears.

I have had a 5.7 based 392 stroker and I have a 6.1 based 426 stroker.

The 392 was a beast, capable of spinning all 4 tires... on pavement.

It rivved up fast, and had a 7000RPM redline.

My current 426 is beast, torque. But just does not seem as powerful. Admittedly, I still need to make adjustments. I think it'll be better then the 392 when its all worked out.

the 392 was simpler to install, configure and drive. The 426 has been more of a pain to make work.

I'd say if daily driver, keep it simple 392. If your looking for a beast, 426. If your looking for an out right monster, 5XX.

572! There is no real big block unless it's larger than 400!!

I have had a 5.7 based 392 stroker and I have a 6.1 based 426 stroker.

Agree with this.

The 392 is based on the 5.7. Not sure you can really go more than 410 max. They both have VVT and MDS so they are a pain to mess with.

Find a 6.1 stoke to 426 and blown. Tunes and parts are there. No VVT cam to get in the way.

The new Hellcat with the supercharger is a 6.2... so you know it's not going to be from a 6.4 style high compression engine.

Call Arlington and find out.

That one sounded sick, and then it really did sound sick like there's still some tuning needed.
Over the top! Loved that one.
Near the end, in the cab??? If so he was just flicking the throttle slightly there.

but the GM in me would do a LS3 418 Stroker swap with some boost of some sort...lol
I'll raise your twin 62s with my twin 67s.

Talk them into doing a T56 swap, so you can work out the kinks and my cheap ass can copy it.

Love me some 572 but for ease of swap it would be hard to turn down a built 392.

I'm thinking the same with the GM side of me lol. There just so easy and cheap to build and make great power or even a Twin Turbo 5.0 coyote motor swapped in. Those are proving to handle some power.

I'm currently building up a crate ls3 for my camaro.
