LT headers will make more power then shorties.

Would like to know the HP gains for each myself, seen someone post saying shorties dont give any hp gains but after looking at the stock manifolds I dont see how that could be true..

LT's better.

Better sound
Better engineer performance
More hp gain
Only thing the same... They are both a PITA to install

LTs are actually easier to install on these.

Can they be installed without removing the motor? Don't have easy access to a car lift lol

Long Tube heads can be installed in your driveway or garage, remove front tires and plastic wheel wells and your looking straight at it. Took me 15 hours, but I can live with it. If you have emissions requirments go with American Racing headers, if no emission regulations go with JBA. I'd recommend the ceramic coating also. I went with Kooks and the mid pipe design is a joke and absolulty pathetic for the $$$$$$$$ I spent.

I installed mine in the driveway on a set of metal ramps in about 9 or 10 hours. You can also have them installed for 400-600 bucks if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.

I went with ARH long tubes 1 3/4" primaries with cats and have no regrets what so ever. They are pricey, but they are also high quality and come with all the needed hardware. Ordered mine from Matt at Moe's and would do it again in a heart beat.

Blackramhemi did dyno tests on the shorty's and they put down 8HP to the wheels.

Yes I felt a definite difference in performance. The truck pulls harder throughout the RPM's.

It felt like the loop had come together with the Hemifever tune, Vararam, and the long tubes.

I did not think there would be a big difference in sound with the ARH cats in place, but boy was I wrong. I am currently running the flowpro outlaw direct fit muffler with the factory resonators in place and the truck sounds like a beast.

Keep us updated on how it turns out. :favorites13:

With Ur hemifever tune , did u run a log with the headers and send it to sean to have him make any adjustments?? He already made a tune for me prior to having the headers installed but I didn't have my vararam on either..Had my K&n on...

The only log I did was the initial one he asked for when I first got his tuning. Then before installing I emailed him and told him what I was doing and he sent me a revised tune for the headers.
