I have an outdoorsman 4x4, with stock front and rear sway bar. If I replace just the back sway bar with a hellwig (or another aftermarket swaybar), will that give me considerable difference in cornering? or do I need to replace both front and rear?

It would be a good idea to replace both at the same time.

I put on Hellwig's rear sway bar, what a difference over the underwhelming factory bar

This is one of those upgrades once you have it you can never go back :)

As already stated, the stock front 4wd swaybar is pretty stout already, so there isnt much need to replace that. The rear bar is a different story though. I replaced the stock rear swaybar on both my 2011 and 2015 crew cab 4wd trucks and immediately felt a difference. This is an upgrade that is well worth it.

You sell these bars Moe? I have a 2016 and would like a few add ons. Looking at the PCM upgrade as well. but worried about the warranty issues.

Yes we do. We have 34 rear bars and 18 front swaybars in stock right now.

I keep reading that the rear sway bar on the 4x4 is 22mm, but just measured mine and it's 20mm (0.788in)

Did they shrink it on the 2015?

Both y 2011 and 2015 crew cab trucks are 4wd, and the stock swaybars that came on them were not only narrower than the Hellwig, but they were also hollow and half the weight. There is no question whatsoever that they are inferior to the Hellwig in a big way.

Matt, Are they larger in diameter? The reason I ask is because of the after market diff cover and the possible clearance problem.

They are larger in diameter, but I also ran a Mag Hytec cover and had plenty of clearance. The panhard bar gets closer to the diff cover than the swaybar does.

Will the Hellwig reduce the floating effect when changing lane and getting in the other lane grooves?

Are they difficult to install myself? Any special tools needed?

Install takes about 20 minutes, and you don't even have to lift the truck off the ground. Very easy swap.

Yes it does. In general, the truck just feels more planted to the road at all times.
