Vararam intake cause any rubbing?

I heard a while back that some folks were having issues with the intake rubbing and wearing out that heat shield on the underside of the hood. Before I bought one I wanted to see if that was still an issue

Mine sits crooked, passenger side higher because of the a/c line. I don't see any rubbing on the hood heat shield.

I've had 3 4th Gen Rams and had a Vararam on each one of them. I have never had the problem you describe. The Vararam seals against the heat shield on the underside of the hood but I have never seen an indication of "rubbing".

Alright great so what about rain and such? Is that causing any issues I know they have the holes drilled or whatever to drain the water but has it caused any issues?

I drive through heavy rain often at highway speeds and I have never seen so much as a drop of rain on mine or had any issues what so ever. Now if you plan on off roading through huge mud holes you may want to go a different route, but for every day driving you shouldn't have any problems.
