Can anybody think of a weather proof material that's sticky on one side? I want to make sure the hole is sealed so that water or other substances don't leak through and pool on the bed. I figured I'd take that material and cut it into a square a stick the rug and the slit down to itself.

i would't worry about it....if you get water in there it will leak through the zippers. Until you have a tonneau cover there will be water under it if it sits in rain.

Okay. Cool. I'll try not to worry then. Well see how long that goes. Lol. Hopefully I find a tonneau cover too!

I've had mine in since my truck was a month old, that's over seven years and it's been seriously abused. I used to take it out religiously once a year and pressure wash it and it kept it looking like new. I've gotten lazy and haven't done it in about three years, it's filthy but still performs like it did when I bought it.

I need to get my lazy ass out and clean it, but that means completely unloading my toolbox and removing it...

Add some degreaser to a (CLEAN) hose end sprayer, and soak the BedRug. Take a pressure washer and go to work after it has sat for 15 min. The BedRug will look brand new.

This is the method I used for floor mats when Im detail cars. Works every time. Just make sure you follow the directions on degreaser before using.

Awesome. Will do! Thanks for the tips.

Last question. Before I get a tonneau cover I want to do something about the bed rails as they're all scratched and what not. Could I do bed liner over the bed rails, a tonneau cover, and bedrug underneath?

Just on the rails. The bed will have a bedrug.

yes you could do that, and i know for a fact that the bak flip will work with bed liner on the rails.

Awesome. Because all of the scratches look bad. I'll have to find out how much this is, or how to do it.

Why not just buy some caps. They'll never chip and can handle everyday abuse.

Dang. I'll have to look into that too then. Will it work with a tonneau?
