i just put new rear brake pads on my 2002 ram 1500. disk brakes. when i am driving around 10 mph i hear a squeek coming from the left rear wheel. is it the pads i put on? did i do something wrong? is it normal for new brakes? the thing that confuses me is i dont even to have to press the brakes to hear the noise. only coming from the left side.
the only thing i did different on the left verses the right was i had to reuse a clip, and the center tab on the clip is bent all of the way back. but the brakes work so i am confused.
thoughts opinions?

Is that center tab rubbing up against something that is spinning?

i re took the wheel off and bend the clip all of the way back and it does not rub but the noise still continues.

Check for anything that is possible to rub, check the inside of the wheels for any circular marks going around it. That would be my first suggestion.

Also check you parking brake pads. They could be pressing the inner part of the rotor. Just a thought. I had a squeak like that when I did mine and I had to replace those clips on the caliper to get it to stop.

Did you check to make sure the pads move freely and lube them?

Sorry in my posts I meant pins not pads. If a pin is seized the pad can rub and squeak

it's better to. The parking brake it's in th inner part of the rotor. Were the rotor sticks out, the parking brake pads are inside there.
