my truck is an 02 1500 crew cab long bed, when I got it used it had the front end lowered a couple inches. I prefer MY truck not to be lowered so I looked at the setup and didnt see anything obvious about how the lowering was done. My best guess was that the coil springs had been changed out or cut/grinded and so i bought new factory springs from mopar... the factory springs lowered the front another 2 inches!! Im not a big mechanic, I have a decent knowledge but not much experience, can anyone give me some ideas on why stock springs lowered my truck even more, it is sitting on the bump stops its soo low?!?!

Take some pics so we can see what is going on there. Trucks from the factory are supposed to be about 2 inches lower than the rear.

try to get some pics of how your truck is sitting now too please.

Also if I am not mistaken, from the factory, the springs have a rubber spacer sitting on the top or the bottom. I hear lots of guys when they do their levels they add their spacers and keep the factory ones too. I think the factory spacers give you an inch or so. Are those on there?

the stock rubber spacers were on the old springs and I put them back with the new ones, on the top, but they werent thick enough to give it any extra height. here is how the truck sits now.

the new springs that i put on were bought on mopar-wholesale.com for $42 each, everywhere else online only had +6 lift or -2 lower springs, and the parts stores were gonna cost $80-90/spring with minimum 5 day wait to order them.... so far im looking at putting the old springs back on which would lift it back up about 2" (strange to me because the new ones were the same size when I laid them next to the first old one that i removed) then possibly getting +1 1/2" spring spacers

I dunno yours looks a tad shorter to me but here is mine. Your truck doesnt look like its sitting obnoxiously low or anything but if you go back to the other springs and put in a spacer like that than you are probably gonna want longer shocks too.

the new springs were the same length as the old ones while they were sitting on the ground but once it was in the truck it compressed alot more than the old ones... Daniel, how much space is there between your lower control arm and the bump stops? before the switch I had about 2" but now its sitting on the bump stop...

RH it was the 4x4 that have tbars because there wasn't enough room for springs and the halfshafts. Our trucks have tbars or springs not both. And I agree sounds like he got the wrong springs
