Howdy y'all.

I'm looking at bagging my 4wd RCSB in the future (undetermined when)... I know it won't lay frame, and I'm okay with that, I just want to bag one since I haven't seen one anywhere else.

I'm open to any and all suggestions and discussions. Feel free to call me an idiot if you want to!

Nice... thanks dude that's a legit kit for a really good price... especially since it involves no thinking about where to place the link bars... Is a wishbone decent for a mildly built hemi? I plan on doing at least a cam in the future as well... if not a full stroker.. depends on which way my career goes (staying military or civilian).

So as far as bagging the front, you still need shocks, but no coils, and the rears you just keep your shocks too hey?

yeah that wishbone will be perfect, you will have 0 axel wrap now, the links like that hold the axel in one spot while the leaf springs can flex under torque, and you will for sure need shocks on all 4 corners

Good to know... and it's a sweet deal too.. thanks for the info dude...

Can you do that wishbone on the truck as it sits now? Just move the bag mounts when you want to lower it?

on your truck, just get traction bars, would be cheaper

Traction bars now, then add the wishbone once I go to lower?

So I'm looking at making some air struts up front rather than mounting bags on top of the UCA. Universal Air Suspension makes bags that slide over your OEM struts. Seems to be the best option. Without knowing how wide the shaft of the struts are up front.. I'm not sure if it will work though. The bags made by UAS won't fit a strut wider than 2.1", so it may be close. If that works out though, it will pretty much eliminate fab work up front (aside from running air lines).

If I wasn't sitting at work right now, I could measure how wide the strut bodies are...

The Rancho 9000 series adjustable struts are 2.75" bodies... hopefully some cheaper struts are skinner since they advertise this width as performance enhancing due to increased fluid capacity, and visually pleasing.

Maybe a set of Bilsteins will work out.. Trying to find the diameter of the shock body.. but no luck yet.
