Have any of your guys that have done 4/6 drop had any problems hauling stuff in the bed? I am looking to build a 2004/5 trackday hauler for my bike. The bike and gear weigh about 500lbs-600lbs.

I have a few hundred pounds in the bed of my truck right now. The first time I hauled any weight I was nervous because of the c notch but no issues. The only problem is you will blind everyone around you at night when your headlights rise to the occassion.

There is one truck on here with a bolt in C notch that hauls a big a$$ boat. My bolt in notch is welded in and I made a backing plate that's completely welded in. It is stronger than the original frame in that section since it is made of 3/8 plate. Here's a picture with the Timbren springs (bump stop). The Timbren spring is rated at 660# each adding 1220# load capacity over stock.

I have a 4/6 on my 05 ram 1500, only problem on mine is im running 275/65/20 tires are too thick so just make sure your tires tuck cause if not, theyre going to hit your fenders, other than that shocks are just going to maxx out but youll be able to haul. Another thing is you might want to switch out your shocks to airshocks or dropped shocks because stock shocks are to big for after your drop it. (just somethings i went thru ha)

I can imagine you have problems running a 34" tire on a 6" drop. Would like to see a picture or two. What rim and back spacing are you using?
