That can be fixed with a little more money, I saw some Viper motors at a salvage yard for 2K a couple months ago. I don't know what the mileage was, but they looked mint.

Can't drop those V10's in our truck, we would blow up the 4WD. I am thinking of a 6.4 392 or a 5.7 bored to a 6.4.

You'd probably have to do a 5.7 to 6.1 stroker. Or the 6.1 stroked to 392. Either way you'd be better off. The viper engine is so heavy in itself. And the computer system and harness conversion would be a pain in the a$$. I would have loved to get a 6.1 in my 03. Just couldn't find one for cheap. I picked up my 08 charger 5.7 long block with like 65k for 700 bucks.

Same engine as all the other SRT's those years. Unless you plan to go over 400 cubes or a lot of boost the 5.7 to 392 is cheaper and it works. Plus if you put any other head but the originals on there, you're altering stuff for intake manifold to match or using spacers (not to mention the exhaust port mismatch).
