I have read several threads on here but didn't see anything that addressed my situation. I got an awesome deal on some nice BFG's only problem is they're a little big 315 70 r17. In looking at the tire chart they are only .5" wider than stock 265 70 r17 but 2.5" taller. Will these require either a lift/level or wheel spacers? I have a 2006 Ram 1500 QC.

Yea you'll need a level and it'll be close whether ya need wheel spacers or not if you're on the factory wheels still.

Sorry about that. I guess wheel information would help. They're Gear wheels but I didn't buy them and can't find anything online on any specs for them. My front and rear are within .5" does that mean I already have a level kit on it? Hope you can forgive my ignorance!

I do have a 2" level and am getting new wheels. If I go 4.5" backspace and -12mm offset then I should be golden right?

For anybody else wondering 315/70R17's will fit with a +2" level and 17x9 -12mm offset rims. No rub or anything.

I think the tread is only .5" wider, the section width should be close to 12" wide.

Every truck is different. Some fit 35s/315s on a level, but some require a bit more. In theory, you should be good with a level and 0 to -12 offset rims.
