I currently have 8000k in both heads and fogs. I would like to go to a pure white. I'm asking your opinions on whether you think I should:

A. Go 6000k in heads and fogs
B. Go 5000k in heads and fogs
C. Go 6000k in heads and fogs (winter - 6000k in heads/4300k in fogs)
D. Go 5000k in heads and fogs (winter - 5000k in heads/4300k in fogs)

So, pretty much, should I go 5000k or 6000k and should I go with 4300k in the winter or just stay with the 5000k or 6000k year round in the heads and fogs?

Here are the headlights now:

No pic of both heads and fogs so please refer to my sig pic for the fogs..

Not sure yet, I'll have to compare prices from them and unique coatings..I just don't know how it would look with the 4300k in the winter, it would be a white/yellow combo so idk if that would look good or not..but I'm leaning toward 5000k since that seems to be a "whiter" color than the 6000k

Either a or b so they match. I personally don't like mismatched sets.

I don't think I'll need a new kit though, just a pair of bulbs, right?..Nick can you post a pic of your lights at night? Just so i can get a better perspective of the 6000k's

A pair of 9006 bulbs from hid extra is 35 bucks..not too bad..I'll e-mail chad and see if they offer 5000k since it's not on their site..

well if bulbs are 35 and a kit is 44 it makes sense to me to go to with the kit to have the ballasts as backups or just to sell imo

yeah that's true..obviously it's a different type of bulb in the fogs and headlights, but is it the same type of kit?..if so, I can just get two kits rather than getting four just in case a ballast goes out in the future or something..

yeah everything is plug in and play, so im just thinking to get a kit or two for backup and then just swap the bulbs out in the kits that are already on there

I think you should do each bulb a different color... Head Left 5000k/Head Right 6000K/Fog Left 8000k/Fog Right 4300k...!!!

Or just go with what looks the best and provides the best light output... 5000k/5000k.

If it was me...I'd just keep what you have, bank your money. Find a set of OEM head lights on Ebay, send them to Chad, and do retrofit projectors. Sure, it's $, but A. it looks hella sick B. the light will actually have a focus and a cut off.

I think I'm gonna go with 5k, but I'll just wait a little on it. Most likely this Fall, so I'll just end up getting four bulbs and probably keep or sell my 8k's

I'd do them cheaper than Chad. :)
