I'm looking for opinions on catback exhausts for a '07 1500 5.7 quad cab. I've used MBRP and Gibson before (currently have an aging Gibson now). Any other good quality, good sounding (not too loud) systems?

The Mopar one is a Borla system and sounds good (have that on the 05) and its stainless.

Awesome, thanks. What does it sound like when you get on it?

I have. That's my problem. Like everything else, There's a bunch of decent products out there. I'm looking for folks that are happy with their choices...

I personally like my flowmaster cat-back, but it's all a matter of preference. I would look at the Mopar Borla system KGBIGCOUNTRY was talking about.

I have always been a huge Magnaflow fan. Overall quality and sound is very tough to beat. Magnaflow offers 4 different variations as well for your truck.

Dual exit coming straight back - Uses 24" Muffler for a mellow tone w/o any drone in the cab
Dual side exit in front of the rear tire - Uses 18" muffler for a nice mix of sound without too much drone
Single side exit behind the rear tire - Also uses an 18" muffler
Dumped single exit before the rear axle - Uses 14" muffler for the most aggressive tone.

We stock all 4 of these kits, and offer free shipping on all of them. Let me know if I can help you out with 1 of these kits.

The Borla sounds smooth and adds alill more DBs but not over the top. All of my exhaust on my 04 has been louder then what your looking for by your post. Matt has listed good kits and they will deff be cheaper then the Mopar Borla kit.

I have the 18" Magnaflow with dual side exit before rear tire on my 06 and it sounds amazing. Slight rumble at idle and cruising but you def know its there when you step on it. Not too loud, just a mean low rumble!

my flowmaster 40 Series is really loud. i have it just in the place of the stock muffler, and single side exit. My friends say that i don't even need to tell them that I'm at their house because they can hear my in the driveway! LOL
