Cleaning Exhaust Cutouts?

Noticed a lot of guys are running electronic exhaust cutouts on here. How to you guys properly keep them clean? I hit mine with some penetrating lube every few months or so. How should I clean the carbon buildup? My valves are not closing all the way and I think it is because they need to be cleaned. Thanks

Don't have one, but I'd try brake cleaner or TB cleaner......
