So I got a used superchips cortex tonight. But I have no idea if it's vin locked still. The guy I bought it from wasn't exactly a gear head, as he traded in his last dodge for a Titan when it started having problems. I'm not sure he reverted to stock tune, and neither did he.
Here's what the tuner says, is it vin locked?

Hence why it says locked programming

It can be unlocked for 100$ from sc but you being an 03 should just buy a 3815

Well crap. I really don't want to give it back, but looks like I'll have to.

I only paid him 120 for this thing. So he may not like selling it for only 20 bucks haha.

This is the reason I will not buy used electronics at all. No matter what they are nor what they are supposed to do. Easier and cheaper in the long run to just buy new.
