I am working on a trade for a Fastman TB. Does anyone here have one? If so, what are your thoughts.

I've got one. It is a pretty good mod, makes the throttle response a little better but that is about it.

The trade I am trying to work out is worth about $100, and the TB is brand new, never used. Do you think that is worth it?

For a $100, it would be hard to go wrong. I have a FastMan TB and I really didn't feel it made a difference. But my truck runs very good, so it may have been hard to detect.

I love this mod, gave the truck a bit more "off the line" or "low rpm" pep. Up top you cant really feel a difference between the ported TB nd the stock TB

Find out what the plate type is though. I first had him send me one with the knife edge and my truck did not like it at all. Gave me an error code, throttle was WAY to touchy for me (tap the gas and the truck would jump 10mph which in stop and go traffic was not fun or a good idea. WOT runs with it were sweet though, but everything just was not worth it. Sent it back in and had it replaced with a regular plate and it runs great.

Now this is just my experience with the knife edge plate, Frog's truck runs great with it (well I think he still has it)

It does not have a knifes edge. It is a standard modified hemi tb. Is that what you have or do you have an oversized 84mm hemi tb?

Mine is an 85mm ported tb which is tapered, not a straight through design. How is the one you are looking at "modified"?

He said it is the standard modified hemi tb. Here is what is says on fastman's web site:
STANDARD MODIFIED HEMI TB FEATURES:
-Front Side Taper Boring: The opening of the TB is Radiused and Taper Bored to almost 85mm leading back to the stock bore.
-Half Shaft: Modified Factory Shaft. The top of the shaft is removed promoting even more airflow at wide open throttle.
-(Optional) Backside Bore: I can also offer an optional Backside Taper Bore. The back side is taper bored to match the manifold opening very closely.
