I want a deep sound for my 3.7 so it doesn't sound like my moms car when it starts. Anyone got any suggestions?

I don't know anything about the 3.7, but a nice magnaflow might help......... But really IDK...

Flowmaster makes anything sound good IMO. Not the best choice for performance, or lasting more than 5 years (lol), but the OP didn't list those as criteria :D

One of my friends had an '00 with the V6 with a Flowmaster 60 series. Sounded good on startup and idle, nice and deep, but still sounded like a V6 any other time...

A muffler will make it sound deeper but it will never sound like a V8 if that's what your trying for.

Yesterday I actually put the Flowmaster 40 series on my 6 banger.

I recommend it, although it does sound like a pissed off bumble bee when your cruising on the highway.

I wouldnt suggest a cut out on the v6... theres a kid in my town in a RCSB v6 with the exhaust hacked off and sounds awful... he also drives it like its got a stroked 5.7 in it.

not to offend but from a previous 3.7 ram owner the only "mean" sound you will get will be the grumbling you make wishing you have a 4.7 or 5.7. can you unbolt the exhaust at the headers and see how that sounds. then you will know if you want a cut out. welcome to ramforum from another boomer sooner

you seriously went and bought that 3.7? :Grenade:

dude... keep it stock sounding. you're gonna embarass yourself if you try to make it louder. it will never sound good. It will always sound like a V6 thats working too hard

I didn't wanna be the first person to say it, but the best mod would be getting a truck with a V8. It's not going to sound good no matter what you do. If you insist upon getting a muffler though I would buy the biggest magnaflow your muffler shop has. (22 or 4", or larger if they make it)

As much as I disagree with "how" they answered your question, I guess I will reply...

I know you're not asking them a comparison on the v6 to the v8 and I think it's a waste of their time to even type all that mess up.

You asked about a set-up that will sound "good" or better than the stock for your v6.

I have done alot of research lately, and I found a truck on youtube that sounds damn good for a v6. I am actually thinking about doing it on mine.

He put headers, flowmaster and a CAI from what I understand. I think he even did a few other things, but overall it sounds good as hell might try looking it up on youtube. I wish i still had the link for you.
