Horrendous sound on cold start

occasional clunk in the drivetrain?

I can recall every vehicle I’ve ever owned having an occasional clunk in the drive train.

It’s been almost 2 years since I traded in the 6.4 and the only clunk I remember is suddenly letting off the gas as the transmission up shifts at lower speeds. 2nd, 3rd gear. It was a very rare and specific set of circumstances that caused that clunk.
