Moe's Performance, (a Ram Forum preferred vendor with his own link button ---> to the right side of your screen) sells a Mufflex direct fit bolt-on replacement assuming you have duals.

That's a 14, 18 or 24" Magnaflow universal muffler (aggressive, mild and mellow respectively) pre-fitted with quality stainless tubing to match the footprint of the stock boat-anchor sized muffler. DIRECT BOLT-ON

This kit takes less than 2 hours to install (not counting letting the penetrating oil or WD-40 soak for awhile since you've got a 2012 like me and removing the old stuff can be kinetic  . )

Short of adding headers, the stock stainless 3" from the Catalytic converter is sized right. Why pay for a whole cat-back system when the muffler is the problem?
