I'm new to this website and new to Dodge Ram. Last month I purchased a 05 Dodge Ram, 2wd, 4dr, Hemi, with 82k on it. It has a pretty nice size dent on one side of the pan, and now it leaks fluid/oil. It looks like the original owner did a transmission service and messed up on the pan. I like to know if I buy a Dorman 265-817 with a 4wd filter would that fit on my truck. I also read that the bigger pans would fit my truck, but I'm not sure if I need it or if it would fit on my truck because there are so many applications to the Ram series.
