Has anyone upgraded the exhaust manifold studs.I have searched and found nothing. Can I replace the studs with bolts? The studs are what always breaks

Can I put all bolts in and ditch the studs? I don't know why they have studs because there is no heatshield and it's not really a stud, it's more of a bolt with a stud coming out the end

There should be a heatshield if it still has the stock exhaust logs. Unless you have headers now.

No has manifold. No shield on either side. I'm the original owner

I used standard grade 8 SHCS on mine with thick hardened washers.

Zinc-aluminum coated from Mcmaster carr (bolts) 40 times the corrosion resistance than zinc alone.

Socket heads get a bad rap usually but I put them on everything I replace. Never had a problem.
