So I'm confused which is easy to do, but what are the applicable part numbers for just the factory Kicker speaker upgrades? Mine is a 17 Express Crew Cab with just the base speakers.

Doors and dash - Kicker 77KICK28AB

Is that the front and rear door speakers or just the front two and the dash?

I'm wondering if I should go this route or buy aftermarket. I could get the whole set aftermarket from Crutchfield for under $200. Granted they have you replace the front 6x9s with 6.5s but still.

Do you feel that yours is pretty base heavy factory? I just have the base system with 5.0. I constantly read about people swapping to Kickers and I'm normally the type to switch. I've probably swapped stock speakers on every vehicle I've owned.

The biggest complaint I see about the stock speakers is no base. Mine have a ton of base I've had friends (that know car audio) in my truck that think I have a small sub.

I'll probably switch eventually but I feel like the Kickers are going to have less base but be 100 times more clear on the highs

I do feel they're a little bass heavy.

I can get the Kicker DS series speakers, 3.5" 2 ways for dash, 6.5" 2 ways for doors and 6x9 3 ways for rear doors for like $150 from Crutchfield. The Mopars are 6x9s all around and a 1" tweeter in the dash but they would be about $250 for the set. Not sure if they're worth that $100 more.

Sorry, This is not correct. The dash speakers are 3-1/2".
The 77KICK28AB is correct upgrade speakers for the basic 6 speaker system fronts. The kit includes tweeters that bolt in place of the factory dash speakers. The factory dash speakers are 2.5" and have a 2.2uf crossover capacitor on them.

The alpine system might come with 3-1/2"

The 77KICK42 comes with three - 3.5" two way dash speakers and the 6"X9" door speakers that is the intended upgrade for the Alpine 9 speaker sound system.

I have the Alpine 8.4 system and just did the dash with the Infinities. Does anyone know what the Crutchfield Kicker 6X9 speaker part numbers would be for the front and rear doors?

I did the swap on my 15 and love it, cleaner bass and clear er highs. Haven't done the rear door speakers bc I just think it won't be worth it.

I've got the kicker front and rear in my 2016 ram 1500, well worth the 200ish dollars. It's plug and play, sounds good, and fits well.
