RAM Alarm ?

2015 RAM SLT ,I have tried to arm the system with no results, Did all RAMS have the alarm? Or maybe I am a ******** and doing something wrong lol Followed instructions and never got the flashing light, tried my door key etc, Goes the ECM need to be re flashed? Also the driver side lock button does not lock the door but the unlock works, Passenger side no issue ! Could that be a issue that goes w/the alarm ? Don't want to look like a complete ******** when I take it to the dealer lol

You're not alone with your alarm issue, Rado.

My 2017 Sport apparently has the alarm as well (according to the build sheet) but it does not arm when I lock the truck.

I am thinking that someone failed to run the sales code somewhere prior to delivery. I am hoping a local dealership will help me out. I guess I'll find out next week.

That is what I am thinking as well! Kori will find out for sure.He should get back to me Monday or Tuesday! I will be dropping my RAM off at the dealer because my Driver side door lock button does not work,passenger does so it will be going in a few weeks, I will update what Kori from RAM Care tells me

Just went and checked on my truck as well and exact same thing. Build sheet says I have it but nothing... Waiting to see what you find out!!!

I will not be dropping my RAM off for a week or 2,But will update when fixed and I will update what RAM CARE tells me

How are you guys trying to activate ad set it off?

try hitting the lock button 2x then wait for like 2 minutes. then with the window open reach on the inside and open the door.

I will try that as well. I hit the button 2 times/3 times and no light. I also tried to open the door with the door key still NG I have tried to set the alarm while in the truck, sit a min or so then open by handle.. I will try again and wait a bit longer.. Thanks,, KORI from RAM Care PM ed me and said STAR said it may need to be reflashed , Will see I just want the alarm to work when I visit my son in Ct. Not the most crime free state lol

I finally got mine to arm. Since the remote start and alarm are the same code on my build list, I knew if one worked the other should as well. I started my truck remotely and turned it off with the fob. Then I hit "lock" on the fob and watched the cluster. I finally noticed a very small red light blinking behind the fuel gauge. My truck seems to arm fine now. Strange!

Just checked mine after reading this and mine is working after locking the doors with the remote. A small red light blinks on the cluster.

OP the other thing to keep in mind also is some salesmen will tell you its an alarm when in fact all you really have is a keyless entry plus the chip in the fob.

I was chatting with Kori from RAM Care and he pm me back saying STAR said by my Vin. I do have the alarm and may just need a reflash

Try rolling down your window, close the door, lock the door with the remote, and then walk back up and open the door from the inside handle.... I'm pretty sure that should make your alarm go off if it's working. That's how it worked on my SRT-4 and my Challenger.

Thanks for your reply.. I have tried that as well as the outside handle! No light no alarm :O I will have it straightened out next week when I drop off the truck,, Hopefully it isn't something simple and makes me look like a ******** lol

I spoke with custom care as well on Monday as I am having the exact same issues. They told me to bring it to any dealer and have them fix it and it should be no cost. I only have @18000 and it is well under warranty. I also wonder if when they did their last update or even when I had them flash the codes for my sideview mirrors or the backup cam...

I have noticed if I lock the doors with the lock button on the door and close it the alarm light does not flash. If I lock the doors with the fob it does. I have not tried to set it off though.

I have tried it many ways and NG :O Not a big deal as I will be going to my sons house in Ct. in 3/4 weeks and crime in Ct. is worse the Maine lol. I have a appointment the 17 w/my dealer to fix my lock button on the door pad and they will take care of my alarm as well. I wil update on the 17/18th
