I want to get an aftermarket receiver, probably the kenwood ddx393. My truck now is a 14 1500 express with the most basic radio but it does have sat radio. The kenwood is sirius compatible so do i only need the antenna adapter to make this work or do i need to buy a new sirius xm tuner?

You will have to buy a SiriusXM tuner and an adapter to use the factory antenna.

Think you need to buy the SXV300 tuner, pretty sure the kenwood is just sat ready, so you need the tuner.
