Upgrade Uconnect 5.0 stereo?

I just purchased a 2014 ram 1500 quad cab with the uconnect 5.0 radio which I really hate...the volume sucks, it does not go loud at all. I tried adjusting all the settings. Is there anyway to easily upgrade this where I would not lose all my steering wheel controls?, I have been looking at other topics here and have not found any easy solution, wish I would of checked this radio out before I bought the truck..I would not have purchased it knowing the radio just wasnt loud at all...level 38 is high as it goes and its horrible..love the truck, just radio sucks..any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you're looking into aftermarket crutchfield has modules and kits to maintain all of your oem controls.

I love crutchfield very good customer service.

Imo I actually like the stock stereo (for stock) it's really not to bad imo.

If you like the features of the stock headunit but just want it louder get you a 4 channel amp with line Inputs and some nice speakers and you will be good to crank it up.

Speakers first, then you can upgrade to the 8.4 next and get nav too. I did that to my 14 express and I am very happy! Great bass and highs. If you want all the particulars let me know.

Al great routes. Gt the 8.4 nav vp4 unit. But, do the speakers first. Kicker makes a decent set. 6 replacement kickers will run you about 200 or so. The sramcq009 is a great addon too at about 415 from hificonnection. I had the exact 5.0 and I'm thrilled with this current system and it all looks stock and was easy to self install.

uconnect 5.0

So you're saying I can actually run an amp to a sub. And put new speakers in without rewiring or running wires from an amp to the speakers using only the Uconnect 5.0? I am looking for a cheap economical upgrade.

I have the Uconnect 5.0 I am looking to upgrade speakers. I havent removed my doors yet. Are the speakers 6x9 or 5.25? Also is it necessary to get an amp for the speakers in the doors. Looking for economical but also efficient.

my 2016 5.0 has a loud setting in the menu.maybe grab a used 2016 5.0 cheap.
