brake line replacement

Hey everyone,I need to replace the passenger front brake line it is rusted where it connects to the brake hose..What size is the brake line,and any other relevant specs?? Should I replace the whole line,or can a piece be spliced in??? I have a 99 ram 1500,3.9lbase model truck....Any advice appreciated....Thank yuo,Leo::banana-mario:

I believe it is 3/16, but you can take the crumbs of it to the auto store to be sure. I have successfully spliced brake lines before using flare-type unions. The problem on these is actually finding a section of the brake line that is in good enough condition to splice to! An entire line replacement is usually in-order.

Yes,i think i'll replace the whole line...can anyone confirm 3/16 as the size?? Thanks,Lenny
