I have a 97 dodge ram sport with the 5.2. Driving to work the other day the gas line blew. When replacing it the guy at oreillys said I can cut the end off the braided hose. So I did so and replaced the line and all. It started up but died after about 10 mins. Any chance that braided line could be the problem? I hear the fuel pump kick on? Now it just cranks but wont start.

Check your fuel pressure at the rail when it primes

97 uses the ****** plastic fuel rail if i remember correctly which means you'll need to disconnect the fuel line from the rail and plug a pressure gauge into it
