Where did you find the rear sway bar? Was it expensive?

From Suspension Connection--its the Hellwig #7822 design for lowered trucks, but they have others for 4wd and such.

I got it for $248 and some change. Had a sale or discount going on when i ordered.

I bought a a 96 indy pace truck back in March. It has been modifyied with DJM 6x4 drop, real nice long tube headers. The PO had a superchager put on, and had a small fire under the hood for some reason. I got the truck knowing it would be a huge job to get it going again . Also the PO had the intake and all the rocker arms off. So today I finally got the TV cable changed because it was melted.

Your more than welcome to donate that super charger setup to my cause .

Hello all! Some of you may or may not remember me from my previous 6.4 hemi truck. Well I got rid of that for an Infiniti G37 as a cheaper option this past October. The past couple years I have also been fixing up a 1988 Chrysler Fifth Avenue which I have been daily driving for the past few weeks up until a few days ago when I purchased a 97 RC 2500 with a 5.9 gasser at 124k. Shes an auto trans but it has the camper package upgraded suspension, dana 60 front and dana 70 rear so shes pretty skookum. I'll redownload tapatalk so I can post some pictures soon. Shes rusty but I missed my truck so much I had to buy another one and now I can finally get rid of that japscrap Infiniti! Looking forward to learning as much as I can about these 2nd gens.

You'll learn a lot from this forum, good luck with the new truck!, most of these guys taught me a lot about my old truck. I'll be getting another one soon in a year or two.

Had some half-assed plans for the day. I replaced my front blinker bulbs because the driver side one was toasted. I bought the bulbs last weekend but I was totally hungover so I ended up buying 3157 bulbs instead of 3157A bulbs. The difference is that the "A" bulbs are tinted amber whereas the other bulbs, the ones that I bought, are clear. So, I have fully functioning front blinkers again but they're clear rather than orange. Oh well. Honestly, they're brighter with the clear bulbs anyway so **** it, LOL.

I found the old "new" MAP sensor that was supposed to go in my mom's Jeep (wrong pin style) and decided to test it vs my old one via live data screening with my Innova. It was a $5 no-name Chinese deal but it actually mapped better than my old OEM one. The mapping moved up and down smoothly with throttle input whereas the old one kind of spiked up and down. Thinking I'm gonna want to get a new one. Genuine OEM of course, LOL but the Cheapy Chinese was good enough for testing purposes.

Went over the inside of the windshield again with some Invisible Glass and microfibers. I did the same last weekend and when frost hit, I found that the windshield was worse than when I left it! Anyone know how to REALLY clean auto glass? This is a problem that's plagued me from the first time I ever took a rag to a windshield.

Aerosol glass cleaner and a fresh, folded micro fiber. Spray a little on the towel, wipe in up and down motions for full coverage, the flip the towel over. Repeat for the other side.
Pull the truck out into the sunlight and look from the outside to see how it looks.

So decided to paint the stock wheels a graphite color.
1--because I hoped it would it look better and
2--to clean them up from all the scratches that the beauty rings caused.

Plus I purchased some new tires.

I DEF LIKE!

Hey, those look pretty nice. I've thought about nabbing a set of OEM rims but I can't bring myself to part with the Nitros. Plus, the Nitros are an inch wider and I really need to get a wider set of tires. My tune plus bolt-ons have increased my low-end torque to the point where the 255's and open diff have a hard time gripping the gravel. Sigh, I really need to get a limited-slip back there...

Gave the truck a good washing today. Admired the shine of the metallic paint but groaned at the rust that is eating my doors and fenders. When I get the barn cleaned out once and for all and get a 60-gallon compressor in there, I'll have the last laugh...

Man if you lived closer I could get you a sweet deal on a shop compressor. Its either 60 gal or 80 gal horizontal. Rated for auto shop use, it has all the features, auto tank drain, unloader valve, and after coolers. The only catch, they've got 3 phase 480V motors, you'd either have to have a commercial supply, or get a new motor.

you can get some pretty good deals from farm supply stores if you wait long enough. usually a couple times a year they have really good sales on compressors but you almost need to watch the flyers to see what they are going for on the regular bases. i picked up my compressor with 60 gallon tank that puts out 11.2cfm@90psi for $500 taxes in brand new. i have yet to see a single thing it wouldn't run especially since i turned it up a bit. best investment ever. i would say it has paid for itself over and over many time from home much i have used it in the last 7 years

Recently I've gone through and cleaned my carpet, reinstalled my projectors, made summer progress on my new trans cooler, installed a new-to-me steering wheel i had re-wrapped, swapped out leaky injectors and my IAC do it starts nicely, and swapped my 4th gen fog bulbs with LEDs. Ordered and received a 2nd set of factory style clear taillights one of which I'm getting $600 for and the other will be in my personal stash, installed my a/f ratio gauge.

PICS!

Got brake pads today. Next weekend will be wheel hub and front brake replacement as well as front end greasing. Maybe alignment too.

Where you get them taillights! Love that look.

Unfortunately they're no longer made. Have to do some real digging to find em. Found a guy that had similar lights for other vehicles too and called him up. Bought the last 2 sets for these he had. No clue where he got em and no clue if he can get any more
