99 sport 1500 318 put the axles from 01 2500 axle w/v10 under my 1500. I'm just switching axles and leafs. Besides shortening drive shafts, swapping out drum for disc brakes, master cylinders, longer u bolts, changing drive shaft ends, any other surprises I may run across?

Leaf shackles for sure. Other than that and the braking system, everything else from what I've seen is fairly bolt on.

the hangers and perches for the 2500 are different and you require those as well. The 2500 leafs except for early 90s years they are all 3" leafs where as the 1500 has 2.5inch leafs.

You'll need different hangars for the 2500 leaves IIRC. Front should bolt in no issue, rear you'll need a short drive shaft. Just grab one from a 2500 of the same configuration (short bed extenda cab, etc).
Yes plan on changing fluids, rebuilding axles before swap and all that. I have the whole truck to pull them from. Swapping out the v10 radiator as well. I'll use the leafs from the v10 2500 as well on the 1500. I'll pick up the truck tomorrow then will find out what gears are in as well.
